Founded by Kailyn Smith, the business combines photography, content creation, and social media strategy to build a strong, consistent presence. We work across a variety of industries, because effective marketing comes down to understanding your audience and showing up with clarity.
With social media playing such a key role in how brands are perceived, we focus on creating content and branding that feels cohesive, natural, and aligned. We also offer a range of photography services and would love to help you capture special moments or bring your brand’s story to life through intentional, high-quality visuals.

MEET THE TEAM

Hi, I’m Kailyn Smith, founder of Smith Media & Marketing. Originally from Key West, Florida and now based in Montana, I started this business to help brands show up online in a way that feels authentic, strategic, and impactful.

With a background in photography and a focus in business marketing at Montana State University, I bring together visual storytelling and strategy to help brands build a strong, consistent presence and a real connection with their audience. I specialize in content creation and social media management, and my love for photography plays a big role in the creative direction behind every project. Whether I’m capturing brand moments, events, or portraits, I focus on visuals that feel natural, aligned, and true to each person and business.

My background and lifestyle are closely tied to the outdoors, which is where I draw much of my creative inspiration. Through my work in conservation and my time spent in the mountains and hunting, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for nature, community, and the stories rooted in both. That same perspective shapes the work I do with small businesses, helping brands built on passion and hard work show up in a way that feels genuine and true to who they are.

My goal is simple: help businesses tell their story clearly, build real connections, and turn their online presence into real results.

Hi, I’m Sophie Kerr, a portrait photographer with a love for capturing people in a way that feels natural, genuine, and true to who they are. Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, I have been based in Bozeman since 2020, capturing it all, from seniors, to families, to new moms, to newlyweds and beyond!

Photography, for me, started as a hobby in my early teen years and quickly grew into something more. Today, I specialize in portrait photography while also dabbling in brand photography, helping individuals and businesses create imagery that feels both elevated and authentic. Whether I’m shooting portraits, branding sessions, or creative projects, I’m always focused on storytelling- capturing moments that feel effortless, aligned, and full of life.

Living in Montana has deeply shaped my creative perspective. I’m drawn to soft, natural light, candid movement, and the kind of imagery that feels both authentic and beautiful. My goal is to create photos that not only look stunning, but also feel true to you- images that you connect with and are proud to share.

At the end of the day, I’m here to make you feel comfortable, confident, and seen- to turn your moments into something lasting.
